Classic
The Origin of WEDO
WEDO did not begin with complex design. It began with a simple question:
What happens to a brass lighter when it is used every day?
Classic is our answer.
Why It Was Never Meant to Stay the Same
Designed for Change, Not Perfection
Classic was never meant to look perfect on day one.
What mattered was whether it would still feel right after being used, ouched, and shaped by time.
Its color is not locked.
Its surface is not fixed.
Your hands, temperature, and daily habits slowly change how it looks.

Choosing What Lasts Over What Shines
Two Months for One Surface
The appearance of Classic was not accidental.
Before it became the foundation of WEDO, we spent two full months
focused on one question:
How do we make sure it never becomes worse with use?
We tested surface treatments, studied how they aged over time, and removed anything that looked good at first but failed later.
What remained
was not the most striking option, but the one that could endure time.

Use Is Not Wear — It’s Participation
Classic is not designed
to remain unchanged.
It is designed
to be shaped by time.
To be lit every day.
To be held repeatedly.
To carry marks over use.
These changes are not flaws.
They are intentional.
The way you use it
becomes part of its final form.
Where All Variations Begin
The Prototype Behind Every Series
Every other WEDO series—
regardless of surface, craft, or expression—
is built on the foundation of Classic.
Classic is the prototype.
Everything else is a variation.
Without it,
there would be nothing to compare against.
Understanding WEDO Starts Here
Why This Is Where You Begin
Classic is both the beginning
and the most reliable way
to enter WEDO.
If you want to understand
what WEDO truly is,
this is where to start.
From here,
you’ll see that WEDO
has never been about
making just a lighter.
