We are WEDO, a brand born from passion and action. We chose this name because it represents who we are—people who get things done. We love creating, we love challenges, and when we decided to make a one-of-a-kind lighter, we went all in.
Our lighters are crafted from bullet casings. Why bullet casings? Because they’re tough, they’ve got that raw military-industrial aesthetic, and, most importantly, they’re cool. Most lighters on the market are square and predictable, but we wanted to make something different. A bullet-casing lighter is already a statement in itself.
One of the best features of our design is the bolt-action mechanism. When you ignite it, it feels like chambering a round in a firearm—a smooth, mechanical motion that’s incredibly satisfying. It’s not just a lighter; it’s a fidget-friendly, stress-relieving gadget you can carry with you.
And since bullet casings are mostly made of brass, they develop a unique patina over time. Your hand’s warmth and natural oils will gradually give it a distinct finish, making each piece truly personal—like a pet that grows with you, silent yet full of character.
Creating this lighter wasn’t easy. We both love craftsmanship, but when we started, we knew nothing about building lighters. How do they ignite? What components are needed? We had no clue.
So, we studied designs, deconstructed other lighters, and went through countless prototypes before landing on the perfect balance—powerful flame, wind-resistant, smooth bolt action, tight sealing, and even water resistance.
We weren’t just going for function; we obsessed over the aesthetics too, ensuring the brass wouldn’t develop an ugly, uneven tarnish or pick up annoying fingerprints. Instead, it ages beautifully, evolving into something even more stunning over time.
